Christmas Eve 2011

24

We had a low-key Christmas Eve. We spent a lot of the day in comfy clothes. For lunch, Ryan and I tried our hand at homemade sushi. It was yummy but the kids preferred leftover pizza. We headed to church at 3:30 for Christmas Eve service, but the church was crowded and Josh wasn’t feeling well so we didn’t make it through the whole service. We did get to sing some Christmas carols though and that is always nice. After church, we decorated cookies for Santa, had a good dinner and then headed off to bed.

    I am having so much fun peeking in on all your Christmas adventures! You have been busy little bees, and I know that you made so many people happy by sharing yourselves, and especially Allie and Josh with them during the holidays.

    Three quick things;
    1. I’m pretty sure the third thing on Allie’s list is Cinderella, but I like that it could also read as “underwear” Her handwriting is better than my 9 year old’s. Well done Allie J.!
    2. You look amazing without bangs! I don’t know if they were pushed back or grown out, but I love bangless hair on you!
    3. Admiring the cute Dilger kids in your new blog header I suddenly realized that Josh was wearing the same outfit as he did that day at Gymboree…oh wait, that WAS the day at Gymboree…hey wait a minute, I think I took those pictures!! Made me so happy to see them again and to know you liked them! :)

    So was it Cinderella or underwear? Because I was wondering if she DID get the ballet underwear or not. :)

    And I just want to thank Ryan for putting Josh on the fridge – cause that’s hilarious – even though he hated it.

    And AND thank you for pushing through and doing the DD. Glad to know I’m not alone here…

    HA! I think all fathers MUST torture their children. We haven’t done that one, but I will definitely be suggesting it for the next time Nolan is naughty. :)

    Also, I read that underwear as well… and I think that makes Allie super awesome, even if it really DOES read Cinderella. :)
